Artist statement
Since early childhood I have been a watcher. A watcher of clouds drifting in static skies. A watcher of flames in hearts of fires and of hidden menagerie in formations of rock. Time has passed but you never outgrow your need to watch. Now, along with the aforementioned, I watch for subtle imagery in cooled glass or in the washes of paint that I apply to surface. Sometimes these images stand on their own and sometimes they provide me with starting points from which to reveal and expand the subterranean primordial visions we share as a species. Visions which, if I am wise enough to get out of the way, may strike a resonant and sympathetic chord in the viewer.
