The Metro Arts Commission offers artists an opportunity to document their two-dimensional or three-dimensional artwork at a low cost by a professional photographer.
With slides, you can participate in the MNAC's Artist Registry, which links you and other artists along with examples of your work to a world wide audience. Visit the Registry online at www.artsnashville.org to see how artists are presented.
Two-Dimensional Artworks
- Artists may have three artworks photographed, or five if they are of a uniform size, with a time limit of 30 minutes per artist.
- Drop-off day is Friday, December 3.
- Pick-up day is Monday, December 6, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or by appointment.
Three-Dimensional Artworks
- Artists may have three artworks photographed with a time limit of 45 minutes per artist.
- Sculpture photographed on Friday only.
To schedule your 30-minute appointment - please call Metro Nashville Arts Commission at 862-6720 or e-mail teri.mcelhaney@nashville.gov.
- Open to citizens of Davidson County.
- Preference will be given to artists who have never used this service and/or are not yet on the MNAC Artist Registry.
- Cost is $11.47 per art-work, payable on the day of photography. Check preferred, but exact cash accepted.
- One slide plus digital image in TIFF format on CD-rom will be provided for each art-work photographed.
- For an additional $5 per artwork, a JPG file will be formatted and included on the CD.
