Mackie will base the workshop on a compilation of public art comments and map notation drawings gathered during the NCDC's Plan of Nashville community visioning meetings. Workshop teams, including artists, architects, landscape architects, planners, other design professionals and community representatives, will engage in a series of exercises aimed at assessing sites identified as potentials for public art.
Workshop will include a slide presentation of trends in public art, a discussion of ways to approach a public art opportunity and how artists can be involved plus two task sessions. Come explore the opportunities for public art in the Plan of Nashville.
