Purpose

Global Education Center is a nonprofit multicultural arts education organization that uses the arts of diverse cultures to highlight the commonalities of all people and promote cross-cultural understanding and respect. Using the arts as a pathway to understanding, the Center’s staff and teaching/performing artists create, produce and present interactive multicultural arts programming that is designed for students, teachers, families and artists to aid in dispelling myths, dismantling stereotypes, unlearning biases and alleviating fears. Through this culturally unique programming, the Global Education Center hopes to create a community of oneness among all people reflecting the profound words of the Lakota people - Mitakuye oyasin - We are all related. We always have been. We always will be.
